Kenneth Poon has throughout his career been involved in high quality establishments notably The Oriental at the Dorchester hotel, the first Michelin starred Chinese restaurant in Europe and Benihana, London. The Orchid provides the perfect setting for Poon's expertise as his passion for knowledge and work is contagious and under his supervision, the ever changing and new dishes reflect the delicate styles and flavours of authentic Pan Asian cuisine.





The Creator

Bokmun has worked in a number of London's best known eating establishments including Clarke's of Kensington and Bibendum of South Kensington. He has designed and opened restaurants for the Sheraton Kuwait Hotel Towers and for the Sun City Main Hotel, Sun International, South Africa. It was here that his Pacific Rim concept was first tried and tested. It proved so successful that daily queues formed as diners waited in anticipation of the mouth-watering dishes served there. Bokmun's high standards in service and fine food has driven the successful growth as he and his team work together in pursuit of excellence.

Bokmun was also part of the team at the Dorchester who in 1992 gained the coveted Michelin Star for the UK's only Oriental restaurant to stand on par with Europe's top French and British restaurants. Coming from a superb background in hospitality, Bokmun heads the Orchid as a result of his unsurpassable aptitude and enthusiasm and experience in the Industry.
